UNDP strategic policy chief to speak at Innovation Labs World
Pedro Conceição from the United Nations Development Programme will discuss the need for government innovation.
Pedro Conceição, Director of Strategic Policy at the Bureau for Policy and Programme Support for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will be speaking at Innovation Labs World on 26 September in Singapore.
At Innovation Labs World, Conceição will deliver a keynote speech discussing why innovation is essential to governments, and share lessons from the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) programme.
In his current role, Conceição helps countries pursue integrated approaches to sustainable development. The unit also works with countries to develop relevant policies and guidance to meet the SDGs.
In his time at UNDP, Conceição has held various roles, including Director of the research team at the Office of Development Studies. His work focused on financing for development, income distribution, food crises, climate change and development, and how economic crises would impact developing countries.
