The ‘Find and Fix’ app allows motorists to road issues and cut resolution time from 32 days to less than a day. This is just one example of the simple steps governments can take towards digital transformation, according to a Microsoft whitepaper.
The report illustrates four key pillars to a digital government roadmap. These are:
- Engage with citizens to understand their needs and increase public participation
- Optimise operations and lower costs
- Empower civil servants and frontline officials to collaborate and increase productivity
- Leverage data analytics to identify new service opportunities
