The global shipping industry alone is responsible for 2.5 per cent of the world’s total carbon emissions, but one island nation is hoping to make a difference. The Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has launched the Maritime Singapore Decarbonisation Blueprint, which charts the country’s ambitions to achieve a net-zero maritime sector by 2050.
